Day 1 – Fly to Tunis

Day 2 – Bardo– Medina – Carthage – Sidi Bou Said

Begin your day with a visit to the world-renowned Bardo Museum, home to one of the world’s most extensive collections of Roman mosaics. Afterward, we will explore the Medina of Tunis. Our guide will take you through the winding alleyways, bustling souks, and ancient buildings, providing insight into Tunisian history and culture. We’ll stop for lunch in a local restaurant before heading to Carthage, the ancient Phoenician city that once rivaled Rome. We will explore the ruins of the city, including the ancient baths, amphitheater, and port. Our final stop for the day will be the charming village of Sidi Bou Said, where you can join the locals for a refreshing cup of mint tea in Café des délices.

Day 3 – Tunis – Bulla Regia – Dougga – Le Kef

After a delicious breakfast, we will set off on an unforgettable journey to Bulla Regia, an ancient Roman city famous for its unique underground houses. We’ll explore the ruins and marvel at the intricate mosaics that have been preserved for centuries. Our journey continues to Dougga, a spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to some of the most well-preserved Roman ruins in North Africa. Here, we will take a step back in time and walk among the ancient amphitheaters, temples, and baths that still stand tall. We’ll take a break for lunch and savor some of the region’s delicious cuisine before continuing on to Kef, where we’ll spend the night in a guest house,  Dinner will be served, and you’ll have the chance to reflect on the day’s adventures before a good night’s rest.

Day 4 – Sbeitla – Kairouan – Sousse

After a delicious breakfast, we’ll begin our day by exploring the ancient Roman city of Sbeitla, where we’ll marvel at the impressive ruins and learn about the city’s rich history. Our next stop will be Kairouan, one of the most important Islamic cities in the world and home to the Great Mosque, a stunning architectural masterpiece. After a flavorful lunch, we’ll visit the Aghlabid basins, an intricate system of waterworks that date back to the 9th century, and the mausoleum of the Barber, an important religious site. Our day will end in the coastal city of Sousse.

Day 5 – Sousse – El Jem – Mahdia – Sousse

Today’s program will take us through some of the most stunning Roman ruins in Tunisia, starting with a visit to the Roman amphitheater in El Jem, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest amphitheaters in the world. We’ll then drive to Monastir to visit the Ribat, a fortified Islamic monastery and a prime example of Islamic architecture. After a delicious lunch, we’ll head back to Sousse to visit the Sousse Museum, which houses an impressive collection of Roman mosaics and artifacts. We’ll also explore the Ribat of Sousse and take some free time to stroll around the charming Medina.

Day 6 – Zaghouan – Uthina – Tunis

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Zaghouan, a peaceful town known for its olive groves and wheat fields. Our first stop will be the Temple of Water, which was built during the Roman period and supplied water to Carthage via an aqueduct system that spanned over 130 km. We’ll learn about the impressive engineering feats used to transport water to the ancient city, and explore the well-preserved ruins of the temple. Afterward, we’ll take a stroll through the charming Medina and enjoy a traditional Tunisian lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we’ll head to the Uthina archaeological site, where we’ll take a guided walk through the fascinating ruins of an ancient Roman city. We’ll see the impressive remains of the amphitheater, forum, and public baths, among other highlights. Finally, we’ll return to Tunis and check into our hotel for some well-deserved rest.

Day 7 – Departure from Tunis
